CourseSense

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

CourseSense helps you find courses, book tee times, and play better rounds. To do that we need some information about you. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and how we use it.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information CourseSense collects when you use the website and the installed app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to everything under coursesense.app.

Information we collect

Details you give us: your name, email address, and anything you add to your profile, such as your handicap or the clubs in your bag.

Your location, only when you allow it: we use it to show nearby courses, distances, and on-course yardages.

Activity in the app: courses you save, rounds you track, tee times you book, and reviews you write.

Basic technical information: browser type, device type, and pages visited, so we can keep the site fast and fix problems.

How we use it

To show you courses, tee times, and yardages that are relevant to where you are and how you play.

To run features you ask for, such as bookings, the AI Caddie, and shot tracking.

To understand which parts of CourseSense are useful and to improve them.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by other companies.

Location data

Location is off until you turn it on in your browser or on your phone. When it is on, we use your position to find courses near you and to measure distances on the course. You can turn it off at any time in your device settings, and the site will fall back to searching around Rock Hill, SC.

Data stored on your device

Some information, including your saved courses, your bag, and tracked shots, is stored in your browser on the device you are using. It stays there until you clear your browser data or use a reset option in the app. Clearing it does not affect your account.

Who we share it with

Golf courses, when you book a tee time with them, so they can hold your spot and contact you about your round.

Service providers that help us run CourseSense, such as hosting, maps, and analytics. They can only use your information to provide their service to us.

Authorities, if the law requires it.

Your choices

You can update your profile at any time, turn location on or off, and clear the data stored on your device. You can also ask us to delete your account and the information tied to it, and we will do so unless we have to keep something for legal or booking reasons.

Security, retention, and changes

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above and protect it with standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and note the change here. Contact details for privacy questions will be added before public launch.
